Sky Dive
We are proud sponsors of Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club. Two of the players required new power chairs of their next season. Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club had paid for one and they needed help raising funds for the other, which was for Abigail, She had already raised £3500 and needed another £2000.
Steve Bestwick, who is an ex-employee of FLR Spectron and has a son who plays for Sevenoaks Power Chair Football approached FLR Spectron to see if we could help in any way.
FLR Spectron staff members participated in a 24hr table tennis-a-thon, each staff member that took part donated £100. It started at 6 pm on a Thursday night and went through to 6 pm on Friday; there were food and refreshments throughout the night to help them keep going.
Michelle and Peter completed a skydive, at Go Sky Dive in Salisbury on 29th June which also went towards raising funds.
“Sevenoaks Powerchair Football Club provide social and footballing opportunities for people with physical disabilities and their families, with playing members ranging from 7 to 27 years old. As a charity we fundraise in order to be sustainable and this is where FLR Spectron stepped in to assist us. The sponsorship we’ve received from them has been incredible. Their willingness to help has enabled us to provide equipment and activity for our players and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future.
FLR Spectron have regularly kept in touch and staff have even visited us at our training sessions to see for themselves just how much their sponsorship has helped us. They truly are a family orientated company and we are extremely grateful for their continued support. Our players are proud to wear the FLR Spectron logo on their shirts when representing the club in competition.”
