The Magic Moments Children’s Charity was set up in 1998 by Alick Smith, the then Chairman of the UK’s largest independent estate agency Spicerhaart, and his wife, Val. The charity was formally known as the Fantasy Charity Fund; the charity has raised over £1m over the years. It is dedicated to helping children from there supported hospices and their families on annual trips to Disneyland Paris. Any additional funds in the charity pot have been used to provide vital equipment, electrical appliances, hoists to lift the children in and out of their beds or baths, and toys for the Children’s Hospices.

“Going into this challenge was a bit daunting as the total, and per day mileage was a lot, but everyone really rallied together to help each other get to the end and raise loads of funds for a very worthy cause. It was a fantastic feeling and experience once completed.”
